Darin Smith Launches Congressional Campaign

Cheyenne – Cheyenne family man, businessman and common-sense conservative Darin Smith is

launching his campaign today as a Republican candidate for Wyoming’s at-large Congressional seat.

“I am pro-God, pro-family, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-veteran, pro-oil and gas, pro-agriculture, and I’m for

every right the Constitution guarantees us from an over-reaching federal government,”

Darin is a fourth-generation Wyoming native who grew up in Rock Springs. He attended the

University of Wyoming, where he earned both his bachelor’s and juris doctorate degrees and wrestled

for the Cowboys. Smith has been married to his wife Alicia since 1999, and together they have five

children who range in age from 8 to 19.

Smith served as chairman of the Laramie County Republican Party in 2017 and 2018. He was the

state chairman for Foster Friess’ gubernatorial campaign in 2018. The renowned Foster Friess is now

returning the favor and has agreed to be Smith’s state chairman for this race.

Over the course of his career, Smith has been successful locally in law and business. A licensed real

estate broker and attorney, Smith spent the last several years working with the Family Research

Council. Prior to that, he spent twelve years as an executive for an international humanitarian relief

organization. He has served on the board of an oil and gas company, as well as a wind energy

company.

Smith ran for Wyoming’s lone Congressional seat in 2016. With no campaign experience and only

five months to run, Smith earned more votes per dollar spent than any other candidate in the race.

Smith’s policy priorities and winning message are:

1. Export Wyoming values to Washington, not the other way around. The days of allowing corrupt

politicians who don’t share our world view or values to buy Wyoming elections are over.

2. Drain the deep-state swamp. Vote out shady politicians and reduce the massive bureaucracy

in DC.

3. Dismantle big tech censorship. The entire First Amendment, and especially free speech, are

under assault by big tech oligarchs, and it must be dealt with now.

4. Demand election integrity and a fair and audited election.

5. Restore America to a culture of life!
